Gouda Cheese Making Kit
Dreaming of making cheese at home?
Our Gouda cheese-making kit is the perfect solution for cheese lovers who want to craft homemade cheeses. While designed primarily for Gouda cheese, it’s also ideal for making other aged cheeses.
The kit includes:
- 50g Natural Calf Rennet with a strength of 260 IMCU, dosing 1.5 - 2 ml per 10l of milk.
- 100g Liquid Calcium Chloride to enhance curd firmness.
- ML Bacterial Cultures for 100l of milk - These mesophilic cultures will help you make Gouda cheese and many other cheeses.
- 250g Polyoctane - A yellow protective coating for the cheese.
- 1x Cheesecloth (50 x 50 cm) for straining.
- 1x Baby Gouda Cheese Mold for about 400g of cheese.
Note: The kit does not include a thermometer or scale.
If you don’t have a scale at home:
- Calcium Chloride: Use 5-7 drops per liter of milk (the dropper is built into the bottle).
- Rennet: Use about 3 drops per liter of milk.
- Bacterial Cultures: Just a small pinch per liter of milk to initiate bacterial growth and milk acidification.
