Basic Cheese-Making Kit with Liquid Rennet and Bacteria

Our cheese-making kit contains nearly everything you need for producing both rennet-based and cottage cheese at home.

The kit includes:

  • 50g of Liquid Microbiological Rennet with 750 IMCU potency. This means you only need to add 0.6 ml per 10L of milk (approximately 1-2 drops per liter of milk).
  • 100g of Liquid Calcium Chloride to improve curd firmness.
  • ML-O Bacteria Cultures for 100L of milk. These are basic mesophilic cultures that can be used to make basic rennet cheeses, Gouda, cottage cheese, acid-rennet cheese, and even Cheddar! Ideal for beginners.
  • Cheese Cloth (50 x 50 cm).
  • 1 Square Cheese Mold for 500g of cheese.
  • 2 Cheese Molds for 200g of cheese.

Note: This kit does not include a thermometer.

 

If you don’t have a scale at home:

  • For calcium chloride, use 5-7 drops per liter of milk (a dropper is built into the bottle).
  • For rennet, use 1-2 drops per liter of milk (a dropper is also built into the bottle).
  • For bacteria cultures, just a small pinch per liter of milk is enough to initiate bacterial growth and milk acidification.
